Each year, the annual LRE Forum, organised by the LRE Foundation, brings together members, partners, and tourism professionals for expert insights, networking opportunities, and dedicated travel trade events.

Following the success of the 2026 edition in Gelderland – and earlier events in Kraków, Aachen, Florence, Normandy, and Brussels – the LRE Forum arrives for the first time in Czech Republic in 2027, in the city of Pilsen, from 8 to 11 March. A longstanding member of the LRE Foundation, Pilsen brings both a deep commitment to WWII remembrance and a remarkable place in the history of European wartime.

The 2027 programme builds on the experience of previous editions and encourages the exchange of new ideas and best practices through a dynamic selection of activities, including:

The LREXPO is a dedicated fair where destinations, museums, and cultural institutions showcase their offers to travel professionals and connect with key industry stakeholders.

Youth Forum

A brand-new Youth Forum in Prague will offer a two-day programme inviting young participants to reflect on WWII history and its relevance to today’s challenges. As part of the event, participants will visit local remembrance sites.

Travel to Pilsen

By train

Pilsen is well connected by train from within Czech Republic and from major European cities. Prague is the main international rail hub, with frequent direct trains to Pilsen (approximately 1.5 hours). From Prague, connections are available from cities across Central Europe, including Vienna, Budapest, and Berlin.

By plane

The nearest major airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG), which has direct flights from many international destinations. From Prague Airport, you can travel by public transport or taxi to Prague’s main train station, and then take a direct train to Pilsen. Alternatively, renting a car at the airport is a convenient option, with Pilsen approximately 90 minutes away by road.

By car

Pilsen is well connected by highway (D5) and is about 90 minutes’ drive from Prague. Rental cars are available at Prague Airport. Be aware that parking rules may vary, so check local regulations in advance. Using a navigation system or GPS will make your trip easier.
